Investors in this round include a mix of innovators and business angels with a deep understanding of the potential of blockchain technology. In addition to providing financial support, these investors bring an additional wealth of brainpower and network to the table. This investment represents a significant milestone for BFG, positioning the VC investor and company builder to continue to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs as they build the token economy.

“We are thrilled to have raised 800,000 Euro for the next cohort of BFG Superstars,” said Max Zheng, Director of Investments at BFG. “With the help of our investors, we can continue to drive forward our ambition to support and empower the entrepreneurs that are building the decentralized future. The new cohort will build on the successes of previous cohorts, and we are excited to work with the next generation of startups that are poised to make an impact in the web3 ecosystem.”

BFG Superstars is a unique program that offers startups the resources, mentorship, and network they need to succeed in the dynamic world of web3. The program is designed to support startups that are improving financial inclusion by drawing on blockchain technology, building in the decentralized finance space as well as other emerging areas in the web3 ecosystem like NFTs, gaming, and the intersection with ESG topics such as tokenized carbon credits. The incubation program has previously supported startups that have gone on to raise significant funding, launch successful products, and make a real impact in the web3 ecosystem.

“We are proud to have attracted such a forward-thinking group of investors to our mission to build amazing startups and help entrepreneurs,” said Jong-Chan Chung, Venture Manager at BFG. “Their deep understanding of technology and their innovative approach to business make them the perfect partners for us as we continue to expand our footprint in various web3 sectors.”

The next cohort of BFG Superstars (starting in March 2023) promises to be even more exciting than the last. The program is actively seeking startups that are building in emerging areas like decentralized finance, NFTs, gaming, financial inclusion, gaming, EdTech, zk-technology and privacy, on-chain analytics, and other web3 areas.
